KIPP & Zonen : firme fondée à Delft en 1830 par Petrus Jacobus Kipp (1808-1864), continuée par ses fils Anthonius Johannes (1834-1916) et Wilhelmus Arnoldus (1837-1904); reprise en 1887 par J.W. Giltay, sous le nom P.J. Kipp & Zonen, J.W. Giltay Opvolger; vendue en 1912 à O.A. Ankersmit, qui en 1917 en changea le nom en N.V. Instrumentfabriek en -handel v/h P.J. Kipp & Zonen; occupait à l’époque 66 hommes dans les ateliers [G. L’E. Turner: The Practice of Science in the Nineteenth Century (1996)].
